When someone else loads your dishwasher for you, you’d best not criticize her technique.

Avoid the thought, “there’s a right way to load the dishwasher, and there’s a wrong way to load the dishwasher.” Because that’s obviously not true. Instead of thinking in terms of right and wrong, I try to remember that there are many right ways to load the dishwasher. It all depends on your goals, your upbringing and values, and your resulting personal style.

What I’m trying to say is, not everyone loads the dishwasher in pursuit of actually cleaning the damn dishes.
