And I’d go on to tell you about the gastroscoping procedure from which I just returned. Except there wouldn’t be much to tell. Because, no sooner than they’d stuck that tiny needle into the IV and tell me I could put my head back down on the pillow, I was awake again - if you can call it that - in an unfamiliar room, being told I was “all set.” All set. As in, good luck walking for the next few hours. Oh, and don’t mind the numerous pinching pains in your chest and stomach from the 7 biopsies. Those will feel better soon. And make sure to check back with us in a week or so for the results. There’s an automated system for that. Do you want a Nutrigrain bar? What kind of juice would you like? You feel alright? Your driver’s here. Whenever you’re ready, just come on down into this wheelchair and we’ll wheel you out to her. Take your time. No rush. You ready now? Yeah? All set? All set.
