2012: Year of the We Just Got Our First Home Phone No caller ID, no batteries. Just a phone with a cord on a wall in our house and the ringer sounds like the fire alarm at a retirement home and I can’t wait to ask, “Did you take the phone off the hook,” every night before reading some Robert Ludlum, putting in my bite-guard, and falling asleep.
