Watch how the Chinese plainclothes goons use umbrellas to block the persistent CNN correspondent in Tiananmen Square. It’s like a Gene Kelly production number from hell.
The best thing about this is, there’s nothing going on in Tiananmen Square. It’s under total lockdown. So instead of some really boring, forgettable “correspondent in place” crap, the Chinese authorities have given CNN some amazing footage that it can show repeatedly and will be reblogged all over the world 1,000 times by lunchtime.
People who think public opinion is something to be crushed are not good at manipulating public opinion.
