Monday report, 6:20 AM
Woke up at 5:45 to what sounded like a party in the aviary.
Most flu-like symptoms have subsided, though the swolen sensation of labored swallowing persists.
A benefit of waking up promptly is that my coffee, which I’ve of course programmed in advance to brew just before 5:30, is still unburnt. Today, the coffee is glorious. But like I said, it’s a little difficult to swallow.
The 30 minutes I just spent reading people’s Twitter updates and wondering about the reusability of towtruck parts has done the trick of bringing me to the surface of consciousness, and now it’s time to go wake the kids and start their morning routine.
I can’t shake the feeling, however, that today has already happened.
If only someone could correspond with me from the future, my anxiety might subside. Oh well, time to slice this cantaloupe.
